Fiat Vans- Bringing Italian Style To The Roads Of The UK

Date Posted: 23/08/2012 by admin

I imagine that when most people think about Fiat they associate the Italian motor company with small cars such as the Panda or the new 500.  But Fiat also produce a great range of commercial vehicles and their vans including the compact Maxi and the larger Ducato.

The Ducato, which has a spacious 3.7 metre load length, was first manufactured in the early 1980s and is now in its third generation.   As well as being manufactured in Italy the Ducato is also being built in factories in Brazil and Russia.

The popularity of the vehicle in the UK is unsurprising as it offers affordability coupled with reliability.  Two factors which, when it comes to finding the right van for a business, should be right at the top of the list.

VW Vans For Today\'s Businesses

Date Posted: 13/08/2012 by admin

Volkswagen produce some of the most popular vans on the road today ranging from the compact Caddy up to the high roof Crafter with its huge cargo space.  It is easy to say that any business will find its ideal vehicle in the VW range but it really is true.

No matter what the requirements of the van you are looking for; performance, economy or cargo capacity Volkswagen can fill the need.

The first VW commercial vehicles were designed in the late 1940s when the German company adapted their popular Beetle car into what became known as the Transporter van with production starting in 1950.

It is fair to say that since the launch of that first van Volkswagen have become one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles in Europe despite intense competition from other companies.  Indeed the Transporter and Crafter are very popular in the UK and are the vehicles of choice for many businesses in this country.

The Berlingo Is A Great Little van

When it comes to choosing a van for your business the first and most obvious question to ask yourself is ‘how much cargo space do I need?’  For many of us the answer to that question is easy; ‘as much as possible’.  But, that isn’t always the case as many of us will be looking for a smaller, still spacious, but high performing vehicle.

If you are looking for a compact but high specification vehicle than you really should be looking at the Citroen Berlingo which is arguably the most versatile commercial vehicle available today.  This van not only looks great and is very economical to run it also boasts impressive cargo space.  For example, the Enterprise version of the Berlingo has an extenso cabin which allows the already impressive load space to be increased to carry loads up to 3.2 metres long or up to a volume of 4.1m3.    Once you add fuel economy of up to 60mpg then its quite clear that those businesses looking for a more compact vehicle should consider the Berlingo.
